I'm glad you brought that up Jamie, I get tired of hearing that stuff all over the news.
I did hear a saying, "Real Estate is like the weather, not the same everywhere"
I still think our local market is doing pretty well overall. I think most of the problems are in other areas, but the media gives everyone the idea that there are problems nationwide.
If you listen to the news media the sky is falling and the last thing anyone should consider doing is buying a home. As with everything in life, real estate goes in cycles. Prices fluctuate in the short term, but long term real estate is still an excellent investment!
I have noticed there are a lot of VERY nice homes on the market lately at reasonable prices.
Buyers have numerous different choices to really find exactly what they are looking for in a home.......but I have also found out that a good home that is priced right still goes quickly.

My first Blog ever!!

Well, this is interesting, to able to provide valuable information to customers and friends in a more informal way. It could be fun, I think. I am looking forward to it. Our site is really looking good too. Our Pilgrim Team Truck is just fabulous, everyone loves it. Now I want the same type of advertisement in a new little "smart car" that I saw on TV over the weekend. Hmmm, let's ask Jerry! (Ha Ha)

It's a beautiful day outside today. Anxious to see how The Pilgrim Team truck looks after the graphics are put on the truck. This is available for all buyers to use, which is awesome, at no charge. Pretty cool, huh!

Home Staging & Staging Your Home

Home staging is about illusions. It's probably how David Copperfield would sell a house. It's beyond decorating and cleaning. It's about perfecting the art of creating moods. Staging makes your house look bigger, brighter, cleaner, warmer, more loving and, best of all, it makes home buyers want to buy it.

Contrary to what you might think, it's about more than preparing the house for sale. Staging is what you do after you've cleaned, decluttered, painted, made minor repairs; it's all about dressing the house for sale.

It's about adding the small details: the lipstick, mascara and, for simplicity, a stunning, single strand of Tahitian pearls.

Many people who are looking at a home as prospective buyers, cannot see a "vision" of what a house might look like when the sellers personal items are removed. They see what is actually there - not beyond. By staging your home, you will make it look more appealing to the buyer.

You can research many ways to stage your home yourself or, alternatively, you may wish to acquire the services of a professional stager.

Whatever you choose to do, by making your home cleaner, fresher and more presentable, you will increase the speed at which your home will sell by staging it properly!
